How do I apply?
You can apply for financial aid by creating a StudentAid.gov account and completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completing the form is straightforward, and most people can do so in under an hour.

You’ll be required to provide important personal information such as your social security number, tax returns, proof of citizenship and bank balances. Gather these items in advance so that you can easily provide everything that’s needed.

The University of Pittsburgh’s Federal School Code is 008815. You’ll need to enter this code on the FAFSA form to let Pitt access your FAFSA information. This will allow us to calculate your eligibility for federal student aid.

Pitt2Pitt Scholarship
Pitt undergraduate seniors and alumni in good academic, disciplinary and financial standing who are enrolled in at least 4.5 credits per term can receive up to $1,250 per term in scholarship support. There is no application fee, and graduating seniors and alumni are automatically considered when applying.
Employer Sponsorship
Many companies offer tuition assistance or reimbursement programs for employees who are pursuing a master’s degree. While some offer full sponsorship, others provide significant support for their degree-seeking employees. Contact your employer to find out if you qualify.
